Morning Gate is the final collaboration in the series for Old Man Diode and Rick Holland.
In this closing instalment the duo return to where it all started, featuring the vocal power and glory of Beth Rowley, singing words born in simple conversation with Holland, over the driving skittering production of Old Man
Diode. Morning Gate is a powerful elative song, ready to be an anthem for the lighter months, another step into the unknown mist and the beauty ahead of us.
For anyone lucky enough to see the live performances of this project, the raw power of Guy Wampa's drumming will have been a memorable element of the whole. As the live show has influenced the production process of the project over the years, this release comes with two versions, The studio version based around cut up amens and sine sub and the live version with Guy Wampa accompanying Rowley and Diode on stage.
